SLACKER!!

I don't have any excuses of why I haven't blogged I get on mine everyday and stalk other blogs...but just put up all of our Hawaii pictures on facebook so go on over there and look...theres to many to choose to put on here. 

So since my last post we went to Vegas with Brady & Cortney and that was so much fun..it all started on our drive down to great falls, we didn't fly out till Sunday but there was a snow storm that came in Saturday so we decided the roads would be worse if we left in the morning so off we went at like 8 o'clock..well we drove 40 km almost the whole way the wind was blowing like crazy and there was horrible visabilty but we did make it there....WAHOO!!!(haha inside joke)

When we got there sunday afternoon the superbowl was on she it was so busy we went and got something to eat and then watched the end of the game at the hotel. We didn't want to spend lots of money going to see shows, and brady and trav aren't fans of musicals or things like that so we went and saw Nights and the Round Table at the Excalibur they served us a meal and we had to eat it all with our hands. And on the other days we mainly just walked and went shopping. 

So next is Macy's Birthday. We just had a little party here at our house with family and friends. She got spoiled by everyone. She LOVES ELMO and if I can figure it out ill post the link to the video on youtube at the end. She wasn't a big fan of eating the cake just played with it in her hands. 

Next..I had to let work know if I was coming back since my mat leave was up..I think they new the whole time I was gone that I wasn't coming back. So I started watching a little girl that is just 1 month older then Macy and its been going really good..since we have got back from Hawaii the little girl is only doing 1 nap a day know so I can't decide weather to take away Macy's first nap or just have them on different schedules..she is soo cranky though if she doesn't have a nap in the mornings. 

Travis had some holidays that he had to use before the end of April and it just so happened my parents had booked a condo in Hawaii for 2 weeks at the end of April so i bugged and bugged him to go...he finally agreed we could if I ate some CRAB!!! I HATE FISH OF ANY KIND!!! So I did it...I didn't eat as much as he told me I had to but i cried a little..and he gave in haha! The plane ride over was a little tuff with Macy as she has been a mommas girl lately so she would not go to Trav at all, I tried giving her some gravol, I think it worked a little. The hard part was adjusting to the time zone Hawaii is 4 hours ahead so the first day Macy was up at 4 a.m. which was not fun because we had to try and stretch out her nap times so that she would go to bed at a normal time. 
She loved being on the beaches she ate a lot of sand..and walked every where. She didn't like the grass at first on her bare feet. 
We got to go to the temple one night while my mom and dad watched her and that was really nice. 
While we were there though I got a sore throat that then turned into a cold and then a double ear infection...the plane ride was HORRIBLE!! I have never felt pain like that. We had a night flight coming home and that was so nice because Macy slept the whole time..trav and me didn't get much sleep with her being sprawled out over both of us but oh well.

So thats a quick re-cap of whats being going on with us. Travis is leaving in 2 weeks to go to the sand dunes he has been itching to go for so long.

Where to begin....

I really need to try and blog more then I won't have to do catch up all the time. So warning this is going to be long.

So my birthday was on the 9th of December and as you I get older there really isn't much that I want just things for the house. So we went to the mall and Travis let me choose a bedding set for our new KING bed!! Which we are both LOVING!! I haven't taken a picture of it yet because I want to decorate the room now. We also ordered some dressers, and I found a bed frame on kijiji for $20 and so Travis painted that while I was down helping my mom out because she had foot surgery. So slowly our bedroom is coming together.

As I said I went down on the 15th to help my mom out because she had foot surgery, it was a ruff couple of weeks, it seems like whenever I go down to my moms Macy cuts a tooth. So she wasn't sleeping good at all getting up around 4 or 5 and I would have to rock her back to sleep forever, my mom felt bad because she couldn't get up to help, but after a couple days she just wasn't being herself so I took her to the doctor and she had an ear infection and throat infection..poor girl! So after a couple days on antibiotics she was doing a lot better.

So since my mom was on crutches and my grandparents on our there mission in Alabama it was up to me to cook christmas dinner! SCARY!! I will not shove stuffing up a turkeys rear end!!! So my dad did it for me. I have never realized how much work goes into such a big meal, but everyone told me I did just fine..

Christmas was fun but I can't wait till next year when Macy will have a better understanding of whats going on. We all got spoiled. Travis's parents got us a video camera which I have wanted for so long. And my parents gave us some money to finish off our fireplace that we installed..."we" being me and my dad because Travis got called out to work and it was the coldest day ever!! So glad I have such an amazing dad that toughed it out!! I will have to get pictures of that too.

So Macy is now 10 1/2 months old! I can't believe how fast the time is going. I forsure thought that she was gonna be one before she started to crawl but she started about a week before she turned 10 months. One day she was doing the army crawl...and bam the next morning she was full on crawling and going everywhere!! She seems to be growing up soo fast all of a sudden...she has figured out how to stand up along everything which results in a lot of falling down especially in the tub, she is opening the cupboards and of course playing with things that aren't her toys..like cords or shoes. But we love seeing her grow! And Travis taught Macy one night how to go up the stairs and she learned so fast..she was sure made at me when I put up the gate.

We are off to VEGAS in 10 days with my brother Brady and his wife Cortney!!! So excited, its an early anniversary gift for our selves. It's weird thinking that in march we will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary...

So now since I think I have covered what we have been up to I will give you a picture overload..

macy crawling

worst day ever

So I think yesterday was one of the worst days I have had in along time. So I will give you a play by play.

So I had some errands I wanted to do before Macy went down for her nap so I went to go start the truck. The truck is parked in the back and we don't have steps on the back door because we took them off so that the builders could paint under them and then someone(me) ran into them with travis truck and broke them...thats another story. So anyways I went to step down and it was sheer ice and I fell and hit my head.

Then once we got back and Macy was down for her nap I was loading some cardboard boxes into the back of the truck once that was down I went and moved the truck to the front of the house so that I didnt have to risk falling down with Macy when I went out later...well as I shut the door I didn't have my leg far enough back and hit my knee...I thought I had broke my knee cap it hurt soo bad!!

So a little later on after Macy had her second nap I needed to go and return a duvet cover I had bought that didn't fit. The store was down by chinook mall which is about 20 min away. So on the way back Macy was screaming bloody murder and she would start like chocking and it scared me so I stopped about 6 times and tried to calm her down each time but it didn't last long...I think her top teeth are coming through because she has been super cranky lately.

So once we finally get home I am trying to give her her food and she will not sit in her high chair so I had to feed her on my lap. So once that was done I try and put her in her exersaucer while I make some cookies for Travis and the guys hes working with this week...and she will not stop screaming...so finally I get out her bumbo(which she hates) and gave her my measuring cups and she played with them the whole time I made cookies..who would of known that those would work, anyways so I keep my cookie sheets in the drawer under the stove and that drawer is so tricky if you don't pull it out just right it will come off the tracks so needless to say I didn't do that so I was trying to fight with it to get it back in and wasn't watching were I was grabbing it and sliced 3 of my fingers on the drawer.

So that was my day! But it did end good my cousin Jenna had her little boy!!!

Well things have been pretty crazy here. Since getting back from Alabama I feel like I haven't had time to slow down. So I will try and think of all the things we have done.

First things first Macy was 6 months old on the 13th of September and she was just about 15 pounds and I think 25.5 inches long. I had to go do the shots by myself this time because I booked so late they didn't have anything at night until the end of October, but lukily for me they changed how many shots they get at the 6 month check up so she only had to get one and she was such a brave little girl.

Travis has started his 3 year apprentiship and I thought it would be soo nice having him home earlier and what not but he can't really study with the baby here, he gets to distracted so he stays and the school. And not only that he is to lazy to take the bus over to the c-train because that means he has to get up earlier and he is not a morning person so I drive him over there every morning and pick him up..its a good thing I love him so much!! He is almost done he only has to be there for 8 weeks and he is on his 6th.

So a couple sundays ago a lady in our ward came up to me and asked for a favour....she wanted us to watch her kids...she has 7!! for 4 days while they went on a little siblings reunion with her husbands siblings...so me not being a person to say no I say ya sure(she is paying us so that kinda made it seem ok...and i grew up with kids always in our house since my mom did daycare so i was kinda used to it)....and then she says also if you would want to watch just the 5 of them again for 10 days!!! and again not being able to say no i said yes!! So that is what we have been up to it has been a crazy time one we wont forget...when we were at church last week with them a couple other people noticed we had them and asked if we could go to there place next...as long as im getting money ill do it..haha....Trav on the other hand might divorce me if I say yes again to someone...haha jks. There grandparents are here for the weekend so we get a little break but have to be back monday morning bright and early.

So that pretty much sums it up getting excited to be done on friday and then have a long weekend...and some turkey!!!

Alabama

So I came to Alabama with my mom and Brett and Kate to surprise my grandparents on there mission, and I think daddy is missing us(well maybe just macy) so im putting some pictures on to show him what we have been up to. I will do more when I get back home.

4 Months Old....yesterday.

So I know its been awhile since I posted it has been a crazy couple of weeks. So there are going to be lots of pictures. Warning some of them are not good focus because some are taken on my iphone and its just hard to get a good picture when shes moving so much. I had to start supplementing her with formula because she just isn't gaining weight like she should be, she is now almost 10 pounds!! She is really long for her age too 23 1/2 inches. So she might just be long and lean like her daddy!heres a picture to show how long she is. she hates being on her tummy, but is getting better.
This one is so funny. I think I surprised her from my noises trying to make her laugh.
So I am up stairs putting luandry away, and I hear Travis say "Macy what happened to your pants" this is what she looks like when I come down. I love the funny things he does with her!

I can always to get her to smile now and its so fun. I got her to laugh on sunday and Trav recorded it with his phone so im not sure how to get it on here but it was so CUTE!!!
