Backyard

we finally have a back yard...well its so small but hey better then nothing and better then the mud! Last wednesday night after Macy went to bed Travis and I started raking out the back yard and making it level to get ready for the deck to be built and sod. And of course with our luck it rained good friday afternoon and pretty much washed away our hard work, but Saturday was supposed to be around 22 degrees so we still planned to do the deck. Friday night Travis went and got the sod and gravel to put under the deck boy was that hard out there in the mud raking gravel we both were pretty tired that night.

Brady and Cortney and Mom and Dad came up to help so the boys got started on the deck and us girls had to wait a bit for the mud to dry up so we could rake again before laying the sod so we went to walmart for a couple things and then came back and made lunch then Macy went down for a nap so started the sod.

Im so glad that they came to help because it would of been a lot of work and wouldn't of got done in just one day. It turned out to be a gorgeous day.













YAY!!

Rain Rain Go Away...

Seriously anyone else sick of this rain!? After having such a nice week last week its driving me crazy being stuck in side.

We had a Beazer reunion last weekend and it was so much fun seeing all my extended family! I was to busy setting up the games for the teenagers/adults and trying to keep an eye on Macy to take any pictures my dad has some on his camera so ill have to get them from him. They had a carnival set up for the little kids and Macy just stayed at 1 game the whole time...mind you she really wasn't old enough to play any. She just liked the one with the baby pool and the ducks and splashing around in the water. I had to organize Minute To Win It for the older people and it was fun watching people do some, but good old southern alberta just had to be windy so there were lots of games we couldn't do. We had to use my 2 brothers big dodge trucks with toppers on to try and block the wind for some games. The best one had to be JUNK IN THE TRUNK!!! Hilarious to watch people, you can go onto nbc.com and watch videos of it there.

Macy is 16 months old today!!! 2 more months till nursery...not that it matters to me Travis has to deal with her because I teach primary. She is getting quite the attitude lately and getting good and throwing temper tantroms. She loves playing peek-a-boo we say were is Macy and she will quickly cover her eyes with her hands and then AHHH!! so cute! Last night I was giving her a bath and her towel was down in the dryer so I yelled TRAV! Macy then stands up in the tub and goes DAAAADD!! over and over again...it was pretty funny.

I have 2 1/2 more weeks of babysitting then i get 2 weeks off and i'm sure looking forward to it. The first week I will be spending it down in Cardston first at Quinton reunion then spending time with my grandparents who are getting back from there mission. Then heritage days..then the dunes in Rexburg. It will be different going to the dunes this year with Macy being mobile. Hopefully its nice weather and we can just play in the lake. And hopefully I will get to do some shopping and go see my cousin Vinnie....these are the 2 things that Travis has to let me do to make me go down there because its really not what I would want to do on a vacation.

Long 2 Weeks...

So Travis has been SOO busy with work he has been doing 15 hour days so needless to say I'm exhausted! It's not easy having to take care of Macy 24 hours every day I'm needing a break from her! haha! At least it has been nice out and we have gone for lots of walks to the park and a couple times to the lake in chaparral (so glad I have friends that let me tag along) So other then just trying to keep Macy occupied not much else is new just looking forward to the long weekend and hanging out with family.

So her are some pictures of Macy and for some reason when I uploaded the pictures they did something funny and its just a bunch of letters so I can't tell where one picture starts and end to comment below them so just enjoy looking. She is a goof ball lately and has some crazy hair!

Oh ya there is a picture of our bedroom its finally starting to come together I just need to find some cute lamps to go on the night stands.

HELP!

I need help as to what to do with Macy at night time..she wakes up at least 4 times, we put her soother in and then she goes right back to sleep. I have tried not giving her her soother when I first put her down but she won't go to sleep she just cries and cries..I've tried putting more then 1 soother in there thinking maybe she just can't find one that didn't work she has a night lite so she should be able to see it. The good thing is she does go right back to sleep after we give it to her but its super annoying getting up and then having to fall back asleep.

So other then that not much is new she is starting to say words like yes, and dog (gog) and ruff, uh-oh, HI.
She also is getting to the stage where she wants to feed herself with a spoon but she turns the spoon as soon as it gets to her mouth and end up on her lap. So it makes feeding time a little messy.
We have been waiting patiently for the warm weather to come so that we can go for walks or to the park and mainly so that I can put her in her summer clothes I bought forever ago..I think she is going to out grow them before it turns warm enough to wear them.

And I think we are all over this cold that has been hanging around for about 3 weeks, Macy still has a little bit of a cough but not as bad..thank goodness because she has not been a happy baby..but we did get lots of cuddles in.

Sorry I dont have any pictures but you should go on over to my friends blog and just look don't enter because I want to win but she has some amazingly cute stuff!! I hope that I win a necklace and some flower clips for Macy!!

SLACKER!!

I don't have any excuses of why I haven't blogged I get on mine everyday and stalk other blogs...but just put up all of our Hawaii pictures on facebook so go on over there and look...theres to many to choose to put on here. 

So since my last post we went to Vegas with Brady & Cortney and that was so much fun..it all started on our drive down to great falls, we didn't fly out till Sunday but there was a snow storm that came in Saturday so we decided the roads would be worse if we left in the morning so off we went at like 8 o'clock..well we drove 40 km almost the whole way the wind was blowing like crazy and there was horrible visabilty but we did make it there....WAHOO!!!(haha inside joke)

When we got there sunday afternoon the superbowl was on she it was so busy we went and got something to eat and then watched the end of the game at the hotel. We didn't want to spend lots of money going to see shows, and brady and trav aren't fans of musicals or things like that so we went and saw Nights and the Round Table at the Excalibur they served us a meal and we had to eat it all with our hands. And on the other days we mainly just walked and went shopping. 

So next is Macy's Birthday. We just had a little party here at our house with family and friends. She got spoiled by everyone. She LOVES ELMO and if I can figure it out ill post the link to the video on youtube at the end. She wasn't a big fan of eating the cake just played with it in her hands. 

Next..I had to let work know if I was coming back since my mat leave was up..I think they new the whole time I was gone that I wasn't coming back. So I started watching a little girl that is just 1 month older then Macy and its been going really good..since we have got back from Hawaii the little girl is only doing 1 nap a day know so I can't decide weather to take away Macy's first nap or just have them on different schedules..she is soo cranky though if she doesn't have a nap in the mornings. 

Travis had some holidays that he had to use before the end of April and it just so happened my parents had booked a condo in Hawaii for 2 weeks at the end of April so i bugged and bugged him to go...he finally agreed we could if I ate some CRAB!!! I HATE FISH OF ANY KIND!!! So I did it...I didn't eat as much as he told me I had to but i cried a little..and he gave in haha! The plane ride over was a little tuff with Macy as she has been a mommas girl lately so she would not go to Trav at all, I tried giving her some gravol, I think it worked a little. The hard part was adjusting to the time zone Hawaii is 4 hours ahead so the first day Macy was up at 4 a.m. which was not fun because we had to try and stretch out her nap times so that she would go to bed at a normal time. 
She loved being on the beaches she ate a lot of sand..and walked every where. She didn't like the grass at first on her bare feet. 
We got to go to the temple one night while my mom and dad watched her and that was really nice. 
While we were there though I got a sore throat that then turned into a cold and then a double ear infection...the plane ride was HORRIBLE!! I have never felt pain like that. We had a night flight coming home and that was so nice because Macy slept the whole time..trav and me didn't get much sleep with her being sprawled out over both of us but oh well.

So thats a quick re-cap of whats being going on with us. Travis is leaving in 2 weeks to go to the sand dunes he has been itching to go for so long.

Where to begin....

I really need to try and blog more then I won't have to do catch up all the time. So warning this is going to be long.

So my birthday was on the 9th of December and as you I get older there really isn't much that I want just things for the house. So we went to the mall and Travis let me choose a bedding set for our new KING bed!! Which we are both LOVING!! I haven't taken a picture of it yet because I want to decorate the room now. We also ordered some dressers, and I found a bed frame on kijiji for $20 and so Travis painted that while I was down helping my mom out because she had foot surgery. So slowly our bedroom is coming together.

As I said I went down on the 15th to help my mom out because she had foot surgery, it was a ruff couple of weeks, it seems like whenever I go down to my moms Macy cuts a tooth. So she wasn't sleeping good at all getting up around 4 or 5 and I would have to rock her back to sleep forever, my mom felt bad because she couldn't get up to help, but after a couple days she just wasn't being herself so I took her to the doctor and she had an ear infection and throat infection..poor girl! So after a couple days on antibiotics she was doing a lot better.

So since my mom was on crutches and my grandparents on our there mission in Alabama it was up to me to cook christmas dinner! SCARY!! I will not shove stuffing up a turkeys rear end!!! So my dad did it for me. I have never realized how much work goes into such a big meal, but everyone told me I did just fine..

Christmas was fun but I can't wait till next year when Macy will have a better understanding of whats going on. We all got spoiled. Travis's parents got us a video camera which I have wanted for so long. And my parents gave us some money to finish off our fireplace that we installed..."we" being me and my dad because Travis got called out to work and it was the coldest day ever!! So glad I have such an amazing dad that toughed it out!! I will have to get pictures of that too.

So Macy is now 10 1/2 months old! I can't believe how fast the time is going. I forsure thought that she was gonna be one before she started to crawl but she started about a week before she turned 10 months. One day she was doing the army crawl...and bam the next morning she was full on crawling and going everywhere!! She seems to be growing up soo fast all of a sudden...she has figured out how to stand up along everything which results in a lot of falling down especially in the tub, she is opening the cupboards and of course playing with things that aren't her toys..like cords or shoes. But we love seeing her grow! And Travis taught Macy one night how to go up the stairs and she learned so fast..she was sure made at me when I put up the gate.

We are off to VEGAS in 10 days with my brother Brady and his wife Cortney!!! So excited, its an early anniversary gift for our selves. It's weird thinking that in march we will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary...
